"The Promise of Next System Studies"

In March of 2023, we hosted 55 academic and practitioner-scholars from 17 universities and 11 civil society organizations at our Mason Square campus in Arlington, Virginia for “The Promise of Next System Studies,” a two-day workshop to develop the field of Next System Studies, including a Next System Studies Association (NSSA).

Scholars, activists, students, and researchers from local, national, and international backgrounds came together to discuss the nature of system crises and the role of academy-community partnerships in systemic transformation.
