We are pleased to announce that Next System Studies is now accepting applications from George Mason University students to the Spring 2026 cohort of Next System Fellows! 

Next System Studies is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented intern to help aggregate university community connections from student groups, departments, faculty allies, and other campus stakeholders in preparation for a series of upcoming teach-in events this November.

The year-long series seeks to foster cross-disciplinary AI literacy, explore how AI shapes and is shaped by culture, ethics, history, and society, and provide opportunities for research incubation and exchange.

George Mason University is now at the center of a national debate over the future of higher education. This is a debate about who governs our universities and colleges, who belongs here, whose speech counts and whose speech is silenced, and who and what we serve.

Next System Studies (NSS) at George Mason University is seeking a Teach-In Organizer to handle programming, logistics, and campus and community participation in the Next System Teach-In at GMU this November.
