The DC Community Wealth Builders coalition is a collaboration between co-ops, nonprofits, and individuals committed to cooperative and community-rooted economic development in DC. Organize and learn more: www.dccommunitywealth.com

Saturday, October 25: Join from 12:00-5:00PM to shift the narrative around what “economic development” looks like and who it serves. We will seed the ground to grow cooperative wealth and empowerment in our communities by determining specific areas of work for our broad coalition. The day will include lunch, cooperative counseling to learn about and supp]ort each others projects, and an intensive strategy session where we will begin building a campaign to expand and bolster DC’s coop ecosystem.

 

Sunday, October 26: Join from 3:30-5:00PM in a family-friendly celebration of DC cooperatives at Edgewood Community Farm. The event will feature free food, games, and visioning about how to grow cooperative wealth and empowerment in our communities. Learn about what cooperatives exist in DC, how to support them, and how to tap into the DC Community Wealth Builders.
