After Mussolini: A Warning Against Future Proto-Fascisms & the Far Right’s Threat to Humanity & the Environment

Thursday, November 17, 2022 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM EST

The rise of fascisms around the world and the election of far-right, populist world leaders has long been cause for concern from activists, academics, and anyone who values democratic governance and social justice. It is in this context of emergent fascisms that Forces of Renewal Southeast Asia (FORSEA), with a co-sponsor from Next System Studies at George Mason University, has decided to host a roundtable discussion on what the rise of the global far-right means for humanity and for our already vulnerable environment. Featuring 30 activists, scholars, and artists from around the world, including Dr. Ben Manski, assistant professor of Sociology and director of Next System Studies. This roundtable talk will be an engaging and generative discussion on a critically important topic, so it is something you won't want to miss!
