The Next System Fellows are the newest additions to Mason's prestigious Arlington Fellows program. In addition to studying together in a 4-course program, each Fellow interns with a partner organization, union, research group, or with one of Next System Studies' own projects. Through their internships, Fellows learn via direct engagement with real world next system projects such as worker cooperatives and solidarity economy initiatives, campaigns for abolition and political democracy, transition and resilient communities, democratic and sustainable technologies, non-violent conflict resolution and restorative justice projects, and more.

If you're a Mason student who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on the world and you aspire to a career in public service, research, education, entrepreneurship, activism, law, or advocacy, the Next System Fellows is an opportunity of a lifetime. You can discover more about our courses, internship program, and the new field of Next System Studies on our website. You can also Read about last year's cohort and take a look at this short video to get a sense of the types of experiences our Fellows participate in.
